General (Retired) Caleb Akandwanaho, alias Salim Saleh, has praised Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) officers for their dedication to helping Ugandan communities transition from subsistence farming to sustainable economies.
During a meeting at Kapeeka Industrial Park in Nakaseke District, the OWC Chief Coordinator expressed his gratitude. "I want to take this moment to extend my heartfelt thanks to each one of you for the exceptional work you've done as agents of Operation Wealth Creation," Gen Saleh said.
"Your contributions have sparked a vital international conversation on 'wealth creation,' a central theme of discussion for the past 12 years. I commend all who began this journey with us and those who have joined along the way."
He emphasised that every officer’s work, even when not immediately visible, plays a crucial role in improving lives. "Although the results of your dedicated work may not always be immediately evident, I assure you they profoundly impact countless lives," he said.
The Kapeeka meeting also provided an opportunity to share best practices on aligning OWC programmes with Uganda's broader socio-economic goals. Gen Saleh was updated on the recent retreat at the National Leadership Institute in Kyankwanzi, which reaffirmed the commitment to continuous improvement.
Operation Wealth Creation, a key government initiative, continues to drive economic growth and improve livelihoods across Uganda, highlighting its role in advancing sustainable national development.
