The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has met with American actor and musician Tyrese Gibson to discuss strategic initiatives aimed at promoting Uganda's tourism sector, harnessing the country's economic potential, and building a strong, mutually beneficial partnership.

During their engagement, the Fast & Furious star and Gen. Kainerugaba focused on strategies to highlight Uganda's rich natural heritage, cultural diversity, and tourism industry on the global stage.
Their conversation, held in Entebbe, centered on establishing sustainable bridges between global creative figures and local sectors to drive international investment, promote Uganda's destination brand, and foster long-term economic collaboration, with a strong emphasis on youth empowerment and job creation through skills development and local content production.

The actor's visit also saw Gibson hold a meeting with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State House. During that discussion, they explored opportunities in creative arts, tourism, and shared African heritage, while also deliberating on a strategic partnership with the government to empower the movie industry as a key driver of economic transformation.

Gen. Kainerugaba commended Gibson for visiting the country and engaging with initiatives that highlight Uganda's unique strengths globally. Gibson's tour includes exploring key cultural attractions and engaging with national tourism stakeholders.
