PLU General Secretary Emphasizes National Unity Ahead of the MK Run

The General Secretary of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) David Kabanda launched the invitation for the upcoming MK Birthday Run during a press conference held today at the PLU Secretariat Headquarters.

In his address, the General Secretary underscored the significance of the event, describing it as more than just a celebration. He noted that the run serves as a crucial platform for fostering national unity, promoting physical fitness, and encouraging community engagement among all Ugandans.

He further highlighted that the initiative is designed to champion the spirit of patriotism and collective responsibility across the country.

The MK Birthday Run is scheduled for 26th April 2026 at the Kololo Independence Grounds. With thousands of participants expected to travel from various regions to attend, the Hon Kabanda urged the public to turn up in large numbers. Ugandans are encouraged to secure their running kits as soon as possible to ensure they are part of this significant national milestone.
