President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni met with the British High Commissioner to Uganda, H.E. Lisa Chesney, to strengthen the long-standing partnership between the two nations.
The high-level diplomatic meeting took place on Wednesday at State Lodge, Nakasero. Both leaders focused on deepening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation. The discussions aimed to create new opportunities for trade and investment between the United Kingdom and Uganda.
Ambassador Chesney led a specialized delegation to the meeting. The British Defence Attaché to Uganda, Lieutenant Colonel Ashley Wiseman, attended the talks. Nigel Holmes, the Political Counsellor at the British Embassy, also participated in the session.
The engagement reaffirms the strategic importance of the relationship between Kampala and London. Both parties explored ways to enhance mutual growth and regional stability. This meeting follows a series of diplomatic efforts to align the economic interests of both countries.
