President Yoweri Museveni has called on young people across Africa and the Arab world to build their future on strong ideological foundations, unity, and innovation. He made the remarks while officially closing the Afro-Arab Youth Congress 2025 at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala.

Museveni reminded the youth that they represent the continent’s most significant asset in shaping the future of the world. He noted that Africa’s population of 1.5 billion is expected to rise to 2.5 billion in the next three decades, making the continent a key player in global progress.

“Young people need to understand that they belong to the future of the world. The future lies in the Afro-Arab world,” he said. “I, therefore, challenge the youth to embrace ideology-driven leadership. What is your ideology? Being youthful is biological, but what principles guide you?”
