President Yoweri Museveni met with the United Nations Special Envoy for the Great Lakes Region, Huang Xia, at State House Entebbe to discuss regional security and cooperation.
Their talks focused on the ongoing situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo and preparations for the upcoming Regional Oversight Mechanism (ROM) summit.
Museveni confirmed Uganda’s commitment to hosting the ROM summit in May 2025, noting that the exact date would be announced later.
