President Paul Kagame last evening received the Ugandan Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba for their first meeting.
The President of Rwanda held private discussions with Gen Kainerugaba and his delegation at his private office at the Kigali Convention Center.
President Kagame is expected to hold several other engagements with the Ugandan delegation which arrived in Kigali on Saturday.
Gen Kainerugaba arrived at Kigali International Airport (KIA) on Saturday afternoon aboard Uganda Airlines in the company of veteran journalist Andrew Mwenda, his Military Assistant Col Mcdans Kamugira, renowned farmer Dr Barnabas Taremwa and Mr Alexander Mukonzi among others.
At the airport, Gen Kainerugaba and his team were received by the Commander of the Rwandan Republican Guard Maj Gen Willy Rwagasana and the Rwanda Defence Forces Spokesman Brig Gen Ronald Rwivanga.
