The territorial police at Kasangati Division are investigating a case of sudden death involving Fatumah Bbuye Nabiwemba, a 47-year-old State Attorney attached to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) headquarters.

According to Deputy Public Relations Officer (PRO) Kampala Metropolitan Police, ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, the incident was reported on 10 July at around 8:36 p.m. by Hamuza Kabanda, a driver at the DPP headquarters.

The PRO said preliminary findings indicate that the deceased was last seen at her workplace approximately four days prior to the discovery.

She was found unresponsive inside her residence in Wampeewo, Kasangati Town Council, where she lived alone.

According to Owoyesigyire, a team of detectives led by the Division Police Commander visited the scene, conducted a search, and recovered items of evidential value.

The body was conveyed to the City Mortuary for a post-mortem examination to establish the cause of death.
