President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Monday hosted the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Shakhboot Nahyan Al Nahyan, at State House Entebbe.

Museveni, UAE Minister Discuss Stronger Bilateral Ties

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between Uganda and the UAE, as well as regional and international matters of mutual interest.

The UAE delegation included Ambassador Abdalla Hassan Obaid Alshamsi. On the Ugandan side, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Okello Oryem, Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka, and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vincent Bagiire attended the meeting.

Uganda and the UAE have maintained strong diplomatic and trade relations, with the Gulf nation emerging as a key partner in investment, trade, and labor export.
