The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has alerted residents of Kampala and surrounding areas to prepare for power and water supply disruptions on Friday, September 13, 2024, due to scheduled maintenance work by UMEME at Ggaba Power Station.

“The Management of National Water and Sewerage Corporation wishes to inform its valued customers and the general public that there will be interruptions in water supply on Friday 13th September, 2024, from 8am to 7pm,” stated NWSC in an announcement released on Thursday, September 12.

The planned power shutdown by UMEME is aimed at enhancing the reliability of power supply at Ggaba Power Station, the statement added.
