Members of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Diaspora chapters have donated essential supplies to new mothers at Special Forces Command (SFC) health facilities.

The donation drive targeted multiple health units to support maternal welfare within the military community. Ronnie Kananura, the Chairman of PLU USA, led the delegation alongside the Coordinator for Diaspora Affairs, Mr. Steven Rutasharara. The team delivered the items during a visit to the SFC Headquarters in Entebbe on Thursday.

Brig. Gen. Paul Namawa, the SFC Chief of Staff, received the delegation together with several departmental heads. The military leadership welcomed the initiative as a gesture of strong partnership between the Diaspora and local institutions. Mr. Kananura noted that the mission aims to provide direct assistance to families back home while honoring the country’s leadership.

“This initiative reflects our commitment as the Diaspora to support our communities back home and celebrate the leadership that continues to inspire us,” Ronnie Kananura stated.

The PLU Diaspora chapters have recently increased their engagement in community outreach programs across Uganda. This latest contribution focuses on improving the immediate post-natal experience for mothers within the SFC medical system. The donors emphasized that their support remains a core part of their patriotic duty to the nation.

SFC officials commended the group for their generosity and active involvement in social welfare projects. The visit concluded with a tour of some of the health units benefiting from the supplies. Both the PLU and SFC leadership expressed a desire to maintain such collaborative efforts in the future.
