More than 300 newly elected Members of Parliament joined the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) on Friday to celebrate Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba’s 52nd birthday, with PLU National Vice Chairman Toyota Michael urging the legislators to embrace discipline and consistency as they face immense tasks ahead.

The dinner, hosted by Mr Michael Nuwagira in Kampala, also served as a platform to congratulate the MPs-elect on their recent election victories.

In his address, Mr Nuwagira appreciated the lawmakers for turning out to celebrate Gen. MK, and congratulated them for winning their respective constituencies.

He informed the incoming MPs that the tasks ahead are immense, but "with discipline and consistency, you will make it."

The PLU Vice Chairman emphasized that the dinner was purely intended to celebrate Gen. MK as he marks 52 years, adding that the PLU ideology rests on patriotism and discipline. "The spirit of patriotism must be in all aspects of life," he said.

He thanked the organizing committee chair, Hon. Peter Ogwang, and his team for their work, and reminded the gathering of a planned run on Sunday, asking all to come in large numbers.

Among the PLU Central Committee members in attendance were the host, Toyota Michael, and Mr. Henry Basaliza, the PLU Coordinator for the Tooro Sub region.
