The State Minister of Health for General Duties and Mawogola West MP, Hon. Anifa Kawooya, endorsed Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for the 2031 presidency at the PLU office of the National Chairman in Nakasero.
Kawooya was joined by the Sembabule District Woman MP, Hon. Florence Nambaziira, who also declared her support for the General's presidential bid.
The two leaders were received by Hon. David Kabanda, the Head of the National Chairman’s Office.
This joint declaration adds to a growing list of government officials backing Gen. Kainerugaba. Their announcement follows a similar move by the Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Minsa Kabanda, who was the first cabinet minister to officially endorse him for the top office.
Gen. Kainerugaba has expressed gratitude for the growing support from thousands of Ugandans who have so far signed the endorsement books.
“I thank the thousands of our great citizens who have already endorsed our campaign so far. Yesterday, over 5,200 citizens affixed their signatures to the endorsement books at one of our offices. We are determined to upholding the great legacy of President @KagutaMuseveni and achieving our development goals,” Gen. Kainerugaba said in a statement on his X platform.
