Health Minister Aceng to Address the Nation on COVID-19

The Minister of Health, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng is today, Wednesday, October 13, 2021 scheduled to address the nation on the COVID-19 situation in the country.

According to a Twitter post by the Ministry of Health, Aceng will update the country on the current COVID-19 situation and vaccination coverage in the country today at 12:00pm. The address will be aired live on the national broadcaster, the UBC.

As of October 12, 2021, the Ministry of Health confirmed 72 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the cumulative confirmed cases in Uganda 124,808.

Over the past months, Government has doubled its effort in the ongoing vaccination drive against COVID-19. Early this month, the Ministry of Health received the first batch of 196,800 Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines bought by government of Uganda.
