She emphasized that the integrity of the national exams depends on the professionalism of the officers entrusted with ensuring their security.

James Turyatemba, UNEB’s Manager for Examination Management, commended the Military Police for their past exemplary service in securing national exams. He urged them to remain vigilant and to handle examination materials with the highest level of care.

The Military Police will oversee the transportation and storage of examination materials for the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE).

According to UNEB, the 2025 UCE examinations will begin with a briefing on October 10, 2025, followed by the first papers on October 13, 2025. The PLE will commence on October 31, while the UACE exams will begin on November 7, 2025.

The appeal to uphold professionalism comes as UNEB steps up efforts to prevent examination malpractice and safeguard the integrity of the country’s education assessment system.
