Air Force Primary School Entebbe has unveiled ultra-modern infrastructure to elevate learning conditions, hygiene, and teacher accommodation.
The major upgrade features a multipurpose main hall, a new classroom block, and dedicated teacher housing. It also includes modern waterborne toilets, bathrooms, and a waste incinerator.
The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces – Air Force spearheaded the project. Under the guidance of Commander Air Force Lieutenant General Charles Okidi, the force funded the teachers’ accommodation units.
Development partners bolstered the initiative. Water For People Uganda donated two waterborne toilet blocks through the Ministry of Education and Entebbe Municipal Council. Additionally, the municipal council financed the construction of the new two-classroom block.

Deputy Commander of the Air Force, Maj Gen David Isimbwa, officially commissioned the facilities. He highly praised the teamwork behind the transformation.
"This collaboration between the UPDF Air Force, Entebbe Municipal Council, and our development partners is improving hygiene, dignity, and the overall learning environment for our learners," Maj Gen Isimbwa said.
The Deputy Commander highlighted the immense value of proper sanitation for female pupils.
"When we invest in proper sanitation, especially for girls, we are directly supporting retention in school and healthier learning conditions," Maj Gen Isimbwa noted.
He pledged further military support to solve local environmental challenges. The Air Force plans to deploy engineering teams to fix drainage issues caused by runoff water from nearby installations.

Future upgrades will target community sports grounds. The military intends to improve shared sports facilities between the school and neighboring institutions. This initiative forms part of a broader plan to upgrade UPDF educational centers nationwide.
The Head teacher, Tumusiime Merida Kaggwe, celebrated the milestone alongside the school's high academic and athletic rankings. She noted that strong performances in national athletics competitions have greatly boosted the institution's profile.
"We are grateful for the continued support from the UPDF and government stakeholders, which has driven steady academic and infrastructural growth," Tumusiime Merida Kaggwe stated.
Skymax Services Limited and Sesami Engineering Company Limited executed the construction works. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also provided vital support to the project.
Civic leaders, education officials, and UPDF representatives attended the colorful ceremony.
