The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) said Wednesday there would be interruption of water supply in some parts of Kampala to allow the company working on the new Katosi Water Treatment Plant to drill through the Seeta water reservoir and install the final section of the Bulk Transmission Pipeline.

The interruption, which will occur from tomorrow, Thursday, 8am to Friday, 8am, will affect Seeta town, Gwaffu, Gongobe, Bajjo, Misindye, Kiwango, Namwezi, Bukerere, Nakagere, Kagala, Namyoya, Joggo, parts of Baggala, parts of Kigunga, Namilyango road and the surrounding areas.

The Corporation says completing the new plant will add over 160 million litres of water per day to the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Service area.

“This will subsequently address the water supply gaps in the city,” it said.
