The ministry of foreign affairs will today evening welcome Ugandans that had been stranded in South Africa and Zambia due to the prohibition of passengers amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a statement, the ministry said seventy-nine Ugandan nationals and permanent residents left the southern African nations Monday morning.

Their flight departed from O.R Tambo International Airport (South Africa) and will transit through Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (Zambia).

It is expected to arrive at Entebbe International Airport this evening at 7pm aboard Uganda Airlines, reads the statement.
