CEC Approves New NRM Party Directors

The Central Executive Committee (CEC) of the NRM Party has approved new party directors.

The four nominees were appointed by President Yoweri Museveni, also Party chairperson on June 20, 2020 and were on Wednesday successfully approved by CEC- the Party highest decision making body.

The new party directors are; Jackline Kyatuhaire, the Deputy National Treasurer, Hajjat Madina Nahamu, director finance and Administration, Emmanuel Dombo, director in charge of Communications and Mathias Kasamba, Director in charge of Mobilization.

Meanwhile, outgoing Head of communications, Roger Mulindwa said in a press release that the CEC meeting that sat on Wednesday deferred the conclusive discussion of the party’s road map to a later date upon receiving information that “cabinet had approved a Statutory Instrument spelling out how Political parties will conduct their primaries in accordance with the COVID-19 preventive measures.”

The proposal is expected before Parliament today. Mulindwa said that CEC will convene again after the outcome from Parliament.
