Gen Kainerugaba Meets Top Land Forces Commanders

The Commander Land Forces of the UPDF Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba recently held a meeting with top commanders of the Land Forces at their headquarters in Bombo, Luwero district

Gen Kainerugaba who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations tweeted photos with some of the commanders following the meeting whose details were not disclosed.

In one of the photos, Gen Kainerugaba is seen sharing a light moment with Maj Gen Sam Okiding, the deputy CLF.

"Sharing a joke with my Deputy, Maj.General Okiding (D/CLF) in Bombo recently. He is a legend of UPDF, especially in our old operations against LRA," Gen Kainerugaba captioned the photo in which he is seen with the Deputy CLF (below).

In a group photo (above), Gen Kainerugaba is seen with his fellow Generals including the deputy CLF, Chief of Staff Land Forces Brig Gen Bob Ogiki, Operation Shujaa Commander Maj Gen Kayanja Muhanga who is also the Mountain Division Commander.

Others are, Maj Gen Don Nabasa who is the Military Police Commander and Brig Gen Charles Byanyima the Motorised Infantry Brigade Commander among other Generals.

Also in attendance was the UPDF Marines Commander Brig Michael Nyarwa and Brig Joseph Balikuddembe, the Commander of the UPDF 3 Infantry Division and chairperson of the Karamoja disarmament exercise, code named " Usalama Kwa Wote" loosely translated to mean "Peace for All".

Meanwhile, Gen Kainerugaba tweeted regarding the issues in the Karamoja subregion, urging cattle rustlers to abandon their aggressive ways.

"As for Karamoja, I have received very many messages from my brother Karamajong warriors appealing for peace and reconciliation. I am the biggest supporter of peace in the world so let us meet and talk," the CLF said in a tweet Wednesday morning.
