Cyprus, Uganda Ties Bolstered as New High Commissioner Presents Credentials

The Minister of Foreign Affairs /Regional Affairs John Mulimba received copies of the credentials of Savvas Vladimirou, the high commissioner–designate of Cyprus with residence in Nairobi. The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the presentation of credentials, Savvas Vladimirou expressed his commitment to strengthening the longstanding ties of friendship and cooperation between Cyprus and Uganda. He emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations in various fields, including agriculture, tourism, and education.

In response, Mulimba warmly welcomed Savvas Vladimirou to Uganda and conveyed the Ugandan government's readiness to work closely with Cyprus on mutual interests and shared goals. The Minister praised the historical relations between the two countries and highlighted the potential for further collaboration in diverse fields such as technology, agriculture, and education.
