Troops from the Central African Republic (CAR) have returned home after completing a 12-month infantry training programme in Uganda.
The soldiers received a warm welcome at Bangui International Airport. They were trained at the Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces (UPDF) training school in Kaweweta, Nakaseke District, according to the Acting Director of Defence Public Information Colonel Chris Magezi.
Col Magezi said the development demonstrates the spirit of Pan-Africanism.
"We salute the strong military cooperation between Uganda and CAR, the real essence of the Pan-African spirit on the continent," Magezi added.
The UPDF has over the years hosted foreign troops for specialised training.
