Police in Nsangi Wakiso district are holding Assadu Wamala, the Director of Wamala Secondary School for allegedly defiling his students.

Police say Wamala has been on the run after reports of his alleged criminal act circulated. He was nabbed on Thursday at his father’s home in Nakaseke district, where he has been hiding.

Wamala is now detained at Nsangi Police Station and will be charged with defilement.

“A team from Nsangi Police station arrested Wamala from his father's home in Nakaseke district, where he has been hiding. A group of students came out alleging that he had defiled them several times. Wamala will be charged and tried in court,” a police statement indicated.
