Uganda’s public transport has undergone some notable changes in the past decade or so. New technology and use of smartphone apps has changed the way many Ugandans access boda boda and taxi services.
Bolt Uganda now limits drivers to work for a maximum of 12 hours. The move, which was introduced this month, is to help drivers get more resting time so they resume with a sharp mind to drive.
Bolt Uganda is waiving commissions for drivers following the government’s recent partial lifting of the lockdown.
The ride-hailing firm has done this to help drivers have a better start after the 42-day lockdown which significantly impacted their earnings.
