Norbert Mao Appointed Minister of Justice in Mini Cabinet Reshuffle

President Yoweri Museveni has appointed Democratic Party (DP) President Norbert Mao as the Minister for Justice and Constitutional Affairs.

In a mini cabinet reshuffle announced on Thursday, Museveni has also appointed Hon Hamson Obua as the new Government Chief Whip. Obua has been the State Minister for Sports.

Hon Peter Ogwang, who has been State Minister for Economic Monitoring now replaces Obua in the sports docket.

Agago Woman MP Beatrice Akello has now been appointed as State Minister for Economic Monitoring.

Mao's appointment comes a day after signing a cooperation agreement with President Museveni at State House Entebbe.

The new Ministerial appointees will be vetted tomorrow, Friday by the Parliamentary Committee on Appointments.
