The dilemma of finding a suitable presidential flag bearer under the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) to challenge NRM's Yoweri Museveni in 2021 Elections, continues as Erias Lukwago declines to take the mantle.

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party is seemingly slipping into a political leadership crisis as the biggest opposition party struggles to field a prominent presidential candidate for the 2021 general polls.

Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has ditched the Democratic Party (DP) to join Forum for Democratic Change (FDC). 

Lukwago has today been unveiled as an FDC member at the FDC Headquarters in Najjanankumbi during the weekly press briefing. 

Ms Sarah Kanyike, the councillor representing Makindye East has turned down Kampala Lord Mayor Eria Lukwago's plea to reject president Museveni's appointment as one of the directors at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).

Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago has given his deputy Sarah Kanyike a three-day ultimatum to either take or reject President Museveni’s appointment.

The Lubaga North Councilor, Abubakar Kawalya has won the hotly contested polls for the election of the pioneer Speaker of Kampala Capital City Authority-KCCA. 

He was declared elected by the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate, Miriam Ayo Okello who presided over the polls.
