Gen Kainerugaba Hails Japanese Ambassador for Strengthening Ties with Uganda
Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the senior presidential advisor for special operations, praised the outgoing Japanese Ambassador to Uganda, HE Fukuzawa Hidemoto, for his remarkable service in strengthening the ties between Japan and Uganda.
In a post on X, Gen. Kainerugaba expressed his sincere appreciation for HE Hidemoto's efforts to enhance the relationship between the two countries. He also extended belated birthday wishes to His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan, wishing for continued prosperity and peace during his reign.
"Belated birthday wishes to His Majesty Emperor Naruhito of Japan. May his reign bring continued prosperity and peace to Japan," Gen. Kainerugaba conveyed.
Gen. Kainerugaba has had multiple interactions with HE Hidemoto, including during his tenure as Commander Land Forces. Recently, the ambassador hosted Gen. Kainerugaba at his official residence for a dinner. Following the dinner, a message from Gen. Kainerugaba's office expressed gratitude towards Japan for its significant contributions to Uganda's development, particularly in infrastructure, agriculture, and support for refugees.
Reflecting on the meeting at Land Forces Headquarters, Gen. Kainerugaba shared his appreciation on Twitter: "We were honored to host His Excellency Fukuzawa Hidemoto, Japan's Ambassador to Uganda. We discussed enhancing Uganda-Japan military cooperation, and he also shared information about Japan's outstanding economic and social programs in Uganda. I would like to thank him for his visit," Gen. Kainerugaba tweeted.
