MK Movement Approves Commissioners for Discipline to Strengthen Internal Framework

In a significant move to enhance the integrity and discipline within the MK Movement, the Chairman, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has proposed the appointment of three esteemed individuals to join the Central Commission for Discipline (CCD). The appointment of Hon. Michael Mawanda, Mr. Michael Nuwagira Toyota, and Hon. Lillian Aber was unanimously approved by the Central Committee during a meeting held earlier today.

The CCD, under the leadership of the newly appointed commissioners, will play a pivotal role in enforcing internal rules and regulations within the movement. “The Chairman of the MK Movement, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, today proposed to the Central Committee that Hon. Michael Mawanda, Mr. Michael Nuwagira Toyota and Hon. Lillian Aber become commissioners of the Central Commission for Discipline (CCD). It was adopted. The CCD shall be responsible for enforcing internal rules and regulations,” Hon Daudi Kabanda, the MK Movement deputy spokesman said in a tweet Monday evening.

Simon Muyanga Lutaaya who recently joined the MK Movement commented: ‘This is a serious step in shaping a serious political or social group. Enforcing internal discipline is required in all our political parties and it should be done without bias, fear or favour to anyone. Both the big and small in the Movement should be handled equally’.

The introduction of Hon. Michael Mawanda is expected to bring valuable experience to the commission.
