You Will Get A Very Bad Day - Gen Kainerugaba Warns Uganda's Enemies

The Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has for the second time in a space of five days warned whoever intends to destabilize Uganda they will have a very bad day.

On Thursday last week, Gen Kainerugaba posted on his twitter handle that whoever dared Uganda would be crushed to dust.

The General has now repeated his caution, assuring whoever thinks of messing with Uganda of 'a very bad day.'

Both his warnings came through his official twitter handle.

"I can assure whoever even thinks of messing with Uganda will get a very bad day. Long live UPDF! Long live Ugandan Special Forces!" Gen Kainerugaba tweeted Monday morning.

Before this tweet, the General had posted thus, "Ugandan strong! I never used to believe it but Almighty God has made me a believer. Nobody can defeat Uganda! This is God's country. Whoever dares will be crushed to dust! Ruhanga asiimwe.Happy Independence Day! God bless Uganda!!!"

Gen Kainerugaba's messages echo various similar warnings made by President Yoweri Museveni in the recent past.

In 2014, President Museveni said that the prevailing peace and stability in the country can only be disrupted by an act of God.

“There is no human being of any description that can disrupt the prevailing peace and stability in the country. We have built a very strong capacity which is difficult to destroy,” Mr Museveni said.

The president reiterated the message when, in 2018 February, he said that nobody will disturb the peace of Ugandans. The Commander in Chief said this as the Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF) marked its 37th anniversary in the eastern Uganda district of Butaleja.

"Uganda now is in peace - from one corner to the other corner. We defended the peace of Ugandans when we were much weaker. There is absolutely nobody that can disturb our peace," Museveni said.

At that time, there was heightened tension between Uganda and neighbouring Rwanda with the Kigali government accusing Uganda of protecting Rwandan dissidents. This was however denied by Ugandan authorities.

‘‘It is false that Uganda hosts any elements fighting Rwanda. Uganda does not and cannot allow anyone to operate from its territory that threatens a neighbour as alleged," Hon Sam Kutesa, the foreign affairs minister said then.
