UPDF Troops Discover ADF Mass Graves in Congo
Four ADF mass Graves were discovered yesterday (Saturday) during a routine patrol by UPDF troops in the vicinity of Kambi ya Yua, a highly placed military source has told the Kampala Post.
"The bodies are in the hundreds. These are the ADF terrorists who were killed in our attacks on 30th November and in the days following the initial attacks. The whole place stinks of decomposing bodies and is full of flies. They hurriedly buried them in mass graves to be eaten by wild animals," the source told this website.
This website understands that the hundreds of decomposing bodies were hurriedly buried by ADF leaders as they fled UPDF bombardment.
Another source inside the DRC told this reporter that manner in which the ADF leaders buried their colleagues shows how they don't care about their own people.
A regional security analyst interviewed for this story noted that it was a miscalculation for the ADF to launch attacks on the Ugandan people, well knowing the consequences.
Kambi ya Yua which was captured by UPDF and FARDC late last year covers over eight acres. It has ransacked structures formally accommodating ADF remnants and their families.
