The burial program for the late Governor of the Bank of Uganda Prof. Emmanuel Mutebile has been released.
According to the program, his remains will arrive in the country from Nairobi today at exactly 7:30pm.
A vigil will be held at the deceased's home in Kololo, Kampala tomorrow and it will be attended by a few family members.
On Jan. 27, the body will go to parliament for a special session, the next day there will be a church service at Kololo ceremonial grounds.
He will be laid to rest on January 30 at his central home in Omuruhita, Kabale
Mutebile, 72, died on Sunday morning at Nairobi Hospital where he was admitted since December 31, 2021, after he collapsed due to complications related to diabetes.
He had been Governor and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Uganda since 2001.
