Museveni to Deliver End of Year Address at 7pm
President Museveni will today at 7pm deliver his new year's address.
According to a statement released today afternoon, the address will be live on all television stations and radios.
In last year’s address, President Yoweri Museveni touched on a number of issues, including security, service delivery, and took time to warn against environmental degradation, which he said caused landslides that killed people in the Elgon and Rwenzori sub-regions.
He also warned against laxity and corruption in police, which he said are bogging down the fight against crime.
On environment, President Museveni said it was suicidal for people to encroach on wetlands or settle on mountain slopes.
He did not reveal what his address would focus on this year but it’s likely he’ll comment on the general elections which are slated for January 14.
