Bagiire Donates Land for NRM Party Offices in Mayuge
Aggrey Henry Bagiire, the Member of Parliament for Bunya West and NRM Chairman for Mayuge District, has donated land for the construction of party offices. This gesture underscores his commitment to the party and its leader, President Yoweri Museveni.
Bagiire, who also served as Minister of State for Agriculture, handed over the 0.0760-hectare land title to the NRM Secretary General, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, in a ceremony held at the NRM secretariat on Kyadondo Road in Nakasero.
"My family and I agreed to give out this land in appreciation to the NRM party and its leader President Museveni for the good things and opportunities we have today," Bagiire expressed to the NRM secretariat leaders. He further pledged to contribute to the construction of the offices once the proposed architectural design is approved by the officials at the headquarters.
Rt. Hon. Todwong, accompanied by Deputy Secretary General Rt. Hon. Rose Namayanja and National Treasurer Amb. Hon. Barbara Nekesa Oundo, praised Hon. Bagiire for his dedication and service to the party. Todwong highlighted that the party, through donations, has already acquired land for the construction of district offices in over 15 districts, including Moroto, Kiruhura, Buhweji, Bushenyi, Kakumiro, Napak, Luwero, and Gulu.
This donation by Hon. Bagiire is a significant step towards strengthening the NRM's presence and operational capacity in Mayuge District, reflecting the party's ongoing efforts to expand and solidify its infrastructure across Uganda.
