Gen Kainerugaba’s Family Enjoys Festive Getaway in Kabalega National Park
The senior presidential advisor for special operations, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, along with his wife Charlotte and their children, spent the past few days at Kabalega National Park which is also known as Murchison Falls National Park.
“Over the festive season, my family and I visited 'Kabalega Falls National Park.' I prefer this original name to the one given to it by the colonialists,” Gen Kainerugaba said in a post on his X handle.
The General noted that he was pleased ‘to see that tourist numbers now exceed those in 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic.’
With a little more improvement in facilities and marketing, the numbers can go even higher, Gen Kainerugaba added.
In his message, he extended thanks to the Uganda Wildlife Authority and Uganda Tourism Board for the work they are doing in protecting Uganda’s wildlife resources and promoting them. We can achieve a lot more!’ he emphasised.
He also thanked the management and staff of Nile Safari Lodge for taking ‘excellent care’ of his family during their stay.
Winston Churchill called Uganda the 'Pearl of Africa,' and I would go one further and call it the 'Jewel of the World,’ Gen Kainerugaba suggested in his Monday morning message.
During his stay in Kabalega National Park, the General met several people including Ms Lilly Ajarova, the CEO of UTB and other officials from UWA.
