The Chief of Defence Forces of the UPDF and Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba this afternoon met with a high-level delegation from the Czech Republic at the Special Forces Command Headquarters in Entebbe.

The Czech delegation, led by the Director General, Military & Industrial Cooperation, in the country’s Ministry of Defence - Radka Konderlova also comprised of Her Excellency Nicol Adamcová, the Czech Ambassador to Uganda and Maj Gen Petr Čepelka, the Czech Airforce commander.

The meeting focused on security and bilateral relations between Uganda and the Czech Republic, with both parties acknowledging the growing ties between the two nations.

Gen Kainerugaba was joined by Lt Gen Charles Okidi, Commander of the Airforce, and other senior Airforce officers.

This meeting follows another in May, where Gen Kainerugaba met with Ms. Katerina Sequensova, Director General for Non-European Countries, Economic and Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic.

Mr. Stephen Kaboyo, the Czech Republic's Honorary Consul in Uganda, attended both meetings.
