President Yoweri Museveni has congratulated Bishop Dr Moses Odongo on his consecration as the Archbishop/Overseer of the National Fellowship of Born-Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda (NFBPC). In a statement issued earlier today, the President also applauded Bishop Joshua Lwere for his years of dedicated service.

The NFBPC, an organization that originated from the vision of former Minister Balaki Kirya, has grown into a significant movement in Uganda. President Museveni likened its growth to the biblical story of the mustard seed, highlighting its transformative journey.

In his statement, the President emphasized the importance of work and wealth creation, drawing from various passages in the Bible. He highlighted that true prosperity comes from combining faith with action, and urged the NFBPC and its newly appointed Archbishop to champion the message of wealth creation.

President Museveni called on Dr Bishop Odongo, the entire leadership of the NFBPC, and all born-again Christians to follow the footsteps of Jesus in preaching the gospel, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and engaging in productive work. Drawing on the example of Jesus, who worked as a carpenter alongside his ministry, the President stressed the need for a harmonious relationship between religion and wealth creation.

Citing Mathew 5:16, which states, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven," President Museveni urged the NFBPC to illuminate the path of economic prosperity for its followers. He emphasized that it is through practical actions and good deeds that Christians can bring glory to their faith.

The President's call for the NFBPC to champion wealth creation reflects the government's emphasis on economic development and prosperity for all Ugandans. President Museveni believes that a synchronized approach to religion and economic growth will help uplift communities, alleviate poverty, and contribute to the overall development of the country.

As Dr Bishop Odongo assumes his role as the new Archbishop, he is expected to lead the NFBPC with this vision in mind. The President expressed confidence in his ability to guide the organization in fostering a culture of wealth creation among born-again Christians in Uganda.

The NFBPC, under the leadership of Dr Bishop Odongo, and in collaboration with the government, is expected to embark on initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic empowerment. By aligning religious teachings with practical economic principles, the NFBPC hopes to inspire its members to actively contribute to the development of their communities and the nation.

President Museveni's statement highlights the importance of harmonizing religious beliefs with economic prosperity. By urging the NFBPC to champion wealth creation, the President seeks to empower Ugandans, particularly those in the born-again Christian community, to actively participate in the country's economic development. The NFBPC's new Archbishop will play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the organization and implementing initiatives that bridge the gap between religion and economic growth.
