President Yoweri Museveni has appointed his former press secretary, Linda Nabusayi Wamboka as a Presidential Advisor on Media.

This was confirmed by Faruk Kirunda, the deputy Presidential Press Secretary on Twitter. Kirunda also refuted social media reports that the President has reshuffled his presidential advisors.

“I wish to clarify that there is no new list of Presidential Advisors issued as is circulating on social media. The only new appointment is of Ms. Linda Nabusayi Wamboka, who has been appointed Presidential Advisor on Media,” Kirunda said, adding the list that is circulating on social media is of the presidential advisors who are currently in office.

Before this appointment, Nabusayi served in the presidential press office for more than 20 years before heading the unit in 2021, replacing Don Wanyama who was appointed Vision Group CEO. In August 2022, Nabusayi was replaced by Sandor Walusimbi as the Senior Press Secretary to the President.
