Gen Kainerugaba Participates in Kigali’s Car Free Day with Kagame
The Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba joined Rwandan President Paul Kagame to participate in Car Free Day, a sports event which takes place twice a month in Kigali City.
The sporting event is aimed at promoting a green Kigali city while promoting a healthy lifestyle among the city dwellers.
Gen Kainerugaba who is currently visiting Rwanda joined President Kagame and First Lady Jeannette Kagame participated along with the Rwandan Minister of Sports, Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju and the Mayor of Kigali City, Pudence Rubingisa.
The walk started at the Kigali Arena and ended at the Kigali Convention Center, covering a distance of 6kms.
Members of Gen Kainerugaba’s delegation including Andrew Mwenda, Col Mcdans Kamugira, Barnabas and Alex Mukonzi also took part in the exercise.
The President of Rwanda last evening held a meeting with Gen Kainerugaba and the two are expected to have other engagements.
