French manufacturing firm BIC partnered with Uganda-grown Fast-Moving Consumer Goods distributor African Queen to hold a customer trade dinner at the Kampala Serena Hotel to discuss how to accelerate business.

African Queen is the exclusive distributor of Bic's products in Uganda. Bic makes stationery, lighters, and shavers.

The event, which has been a tradition since 2016, has helped generate feedback and over 1,000 customers have benefited.

This time 120 wholesalers from across the country and 45 partners from African Queen attended the event.

Francois-Lede Xavier, the sales director at Bic East Africa, said: “We are delighted to have these events back and commemorate our partnership with African Queen and our customers and partners. This event is a testament to our commitment and proximity to our stakeholders in Uganda and beyond.”

The CEO of African Queen Sophy Nantongo said: “It gives me so much pleasure to see how much we have grown with our partners over the years. These events give us an opportunity to appreciate our customers and understand their needs so as to serve them better”.

Bic East Africa and African Queen say they are committed to continuing with the annual engagements with their trade partners.
